Platform Statement by the Colombian situation

Women's Continental Shelf "Peace with justice Colombia "is against the persecution and criminalization of whom have been victims of Colombia's indigenous peoples after the request for dialogue with the national government in the community of La MarĂa (Cauca) to discuss the increasing threats and murders to indigenous leaders. Within this context, the Indians gathered in the Minga for life and strength not only heard but also were not suppressed by the forces producing the death of a member of the original and at least 100 wounded, 5 of them wounded by rifle fire.

1. We urge the national government and relevant authorities to cease harassment of members of indigenous communities and install a table approach to meet the requests of communities.

2. What processes have the indiscriminate violation of human rights committed by members of the security forces with the population.

3. We express our solidarity with indigenous peoples of Colombia and just struggles for life, land and human rights are being violated today.
